Kenneth E. Garofano Named Vice President of Strategic Media Technology

Nashua, NH, July 27, 2005 – Ezenia! Inc. (OTCBB: EZEN.OB), a leading market provider of secure real-time collaboration solutions for government networks and eGovernment, announced today that Kenneth Garofano has joined the company as Vice President of Strategic Media Technology reporting directly to Khoa Nguyen, Ezenia Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

As the President and Founder of Zydacron, Inc., Mr. Garofano is well regarded as one of the pioneers in the videoconferencing industry. He grew this New Hampshire-based videoconferencing business to an 18% market share in the U. S. Military and a 20% market share in the telemedicine industry, delivering over 100,000 videoconferencing clients. Prior to Zydacron, Mr. Garofano was a founding member and Vice President of Operations for Itran Corporation (now Robotic Vision Systems, Inc.) a manufacturer of machine vision systems for the industrial marketplace. Before starting his 22-year entrepreneurial career, Mr. Garofano was Director of Strategic Planning for the Modicon Division of Gould, Inc.
