John F. Stewart Named to Ezenia! Board of Directors

NASHUA, N.H. (March 22, 2006) – Ezenia! Inc. (OTCBB: EZEN.OB), a leading market provider of real-time collaboration solutions for corporate and government networks and eBusiness, announced today that the Company has appointed Mr. John F. Stewart to its Board of Directors. His appointment is effective immediately.

Upon graduation from the Army ROTC at San Jose State, Mr. Stewart entered the US Army as a Second Lieutenant and served for 32 years as an infantryman and military intelligence professional, retiring in late 1994 as a Major General. Mr. Stewart`s distinguished military service included two tours of duty in Vietnam, operational assignments in infantry and airborne units, command through division equivalent level, a tour with the Central Intelligence Agency, military attaché in Mexico, Grenada, Panama, Desert Storm, and assignments in the Washington, DC, area. While in the Army, Mr. Stewart also earned a Masters Degree in Economics from the School of Advanced International Studies, The Johns Hopkins University.

In late 1994, Mr. Stewart joined the defense business, first with Cubic Applications, and then with GTE Government Systems in 1995 in San Jose, California. In 1997, he took on the responsibility of the Electronic Systems Division of GTE Government Systems, based in Mountain View, CA. The Division`s business consists of the development of Command and Control and Intelligence (C2I) systems for the Department of Defense (DoD) and US Intelligence Community (IC). In 1999, General Dynamics (GD) Corporation acquired GTE Government Systems and over the years further assimilated other companies, many of which were in the C2I businesses. During the period from 1999 to 2005, his responsibilities grew from President of a division of about 1,500 employees and $300 million annual revenue to President of the GD Company, called GD Advanced Information Systems (GD-AIS), with approximately 11,500 employees and $2.5 billion annual revenue. The new business entity, GD-AIS, not only had the basic business of C2I but also expanded from systems development to a balance of development and engineering services. Mr. Stewart retired from General Dynamics Corporation on September 1st, 2005, as one of its corporate officers.

“I am delighted to have John join our Board of Directors and proud of his distinguished service to our nation, including two tours of duty in Vietnam,” said Khoa Nguyen, Ezenia Chairman and CEO. “John was instrumental in the creation and incubation of InfoWorkSpace (IWS) over the years. Without his leadership and support, IWS would not have come to fruition nor would it have the functionality that makes it ideally suitable to address the needs and requirements of the Warfighters. IWS success to date, within the DoD and IC, is directly attributable to John`s in-depth understanding of true real-time collaboration requirements to conduct and coordinate operations in mission critical situations. In addition, Ezenia`s current success and growth would not have been possible without John’s support and generosity during the critical years of 2002 through 2004. I look forward to working closely with John and benefiting from his business expertise, insight, guidance, and wisdom to achieve our growth objectives.”

“Ezenia has made significant progresses since it acquired the InfoWorkSpace business in March 2001 and has successfully developed a loyal and increasing customer base within the DoD and IC,” said John Stewart. “With its consistent profitability and solid financial standing, coupled with the pending release of the much enhanced IWS version 3.0, the Company has the resource and product line to expand its business to servicing the needs and requirements of homeland security. Ezenia has the right solution to enable various agencies and first responders to come together and handle any crisis from the threat of terrorism to natural disasters. I look forward to working closely with Khoa and other members of the Board of Directors to help their business grow and prosper in the coming years.”
