Ezenia! Inc. Names James S. Idelson Vice President of Marketing

NASHUA, N.H. (May 11, 2007) – Ezenia! Inc. (OTCBB: EZEN.OB), a leading market provider of real-time collaboration solutions for corporate and government networks and eBusiness, today announced the appointment of James S. Idelson as Vice President of Marketing. Mr. Idelson joins Ezenia from DesigNET International, where he served as President of the company he founded in 1995 to provide strategic and management consulting services to conferencing and collaboration end users, service providers, and manufacturers. Mr. Idelson brings more than 25 years of marketing, product development and general management experience to Ezenia.

Mr. Idelson reports to Khoa Nguyen, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ezenia, and will be responsible for the company’s global marketing, corporate communications, demand creation, product management and market research functions. “I am delighted to have Jim join the Ezenia executive management team,” said Mr. Nguyen. “His experience in the collaboration industry, combined with his leadership skills and marketing savvy, will be invaluable as we continue to grow the company, forge new partnerships, and extend our reach in both government and commercial markets.”

Mr. Idelson started his career in 1980 in product development and applications engineering in the semiconductor industry with LTX and Analog Devices. He moved on to roles in product marketing, strategic planning and management with Masscomp, a manufacturer of real-time computer systems. In 1990, he joined videoconferencing pioneer PictureTel and was part of the leadership team, first as Senior Director of product marketing and then General Manager of the network systems business unit, which navigated the company through its period of most rapid and profitable growth. Since 1995, his consulting company, DesigNET, has guided many of the world’s largest companies – including Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, General Motors and others – through the challenges of designing, building and operating highly effective enterprise conferencing and collaboration environments.

Originally from Boston, MA, Mr. Idelson received his BSEE from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and his MBA from Boston University.
