Nashua, N.H . (November 14, 2007) – Ezenia, Inc (OTC Bulletin Board: EZEN.OB), a leading provider of real-time collaboration solutions for corporate and government networks, announced today that it has received a major renewal order for its InfoWorkSpace (IWS) products from the Standing Joint Forces Headquarters (SJFHQ). The agreement extends a close partnership that has provided the warfighter with critical communication and collaboration capabilities since 2002.
InfoWorkSpace was selected after a strict technical competition against several other collaboration solutions during the Millennium Challenge 2002 (MC02) event, conducted at the Joint Innovation and Experimentation Directorate, or J9, in Suffolk, VA.
The significance of this competition was the need by JFCOM to field a communication and collaboration solution that was robust for battlefield use and capable of simultaneously communicating and sharing sensitive information with a very large number of users. The hands-down winner of MC02 was InfoWorkSpace, resulting in its deployment as the collaboration solution of choice in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
InfoWorkSpace has been in use ever since. And, through Ezenia’s close working relationship with the warfighter community, IWS has continued to improve. Many additional enhancements and new features have been incorporated since initial deployment, all built onto the original application.
“Over the past six years, we have invested heavily in the adoption and development of the unique functionality required by and optimized for our customers. JFCOM has been a major driver of many of the most powerful capabilities that IWS provides,” said Khoa Nguyen, Chairman and CEO of Ezenia. “We are ecstatic that our products have been deployed successfully in very difficult and dangerous environments and helped our warfighters improve combat efficiency and save lives in mission-critical situations. We are proud and honored to provide continued support and enhanced services to our warfighters with this renewal.”
Certified for daily use on the Top Secret and SCIJoint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS) and the Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRnet), IWSis the tool of choice for JFCOM.IWS provides the communication and collaboration solution for a variety of Command and Control and Intelligence applications, ranging fromtactical missions and daily battle update assessment meetings to supporting large scale operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
