Job Description

Reporting to the VP of marketing, the Director of Marketing Communications will manage aspects of communications including website content, collateral, newsletters, sales tools development, graphic design, lead generation programs, advertising, and branding. The position requires strong high-tech-marketing-oriented writing skills and the ability to take raw content from product managers, product marketing, and other sources, and edit the content to drive key messages through the appropriate communication vehicle. The individual will serve a key role that requires interfacing with other managers up through executive management. The Director of Marketing Communications will prioritize multiple tasks effectively and perform a variety of deadline-driven projects that include, but are not limited to:

* Creating and/or editing high-quality written materials including datasheets, brochures, white papers, newsletters, customer success stories, advertising copy, online advertising copy, presentation slides and sales communications and tools.
* Working with the marketing team to develop and flawlessly implement strategic marketing communications plans to reinforce the company's presence as a market leader in the collaboration space.
* Working with graphic designers to develop artwork for use in web, print, CD, product design elements, presentation graphics, and many other graphics-oriented deliverables.
* Managing the corporate website, including content and user experience to optimize registrations and engaging with IT on continual performance enhancements.


Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

* 7-10 Years of marketing communications experience, preferably at software companies.
* Experience in managing direct reports and outside service providers
* Excellent messaging and writing skills, with a strong desire to proofread.
* Excellent design sense. Background in graphic design a plus.
* Experience in on-line end-to-end lead generation programs-targeting, message development, audience selection via lists, execution, tracking, reporting.
* Experience with SalesForce.Com
* Experience in website management-managing content, interpreting analytics, and optimizing traffic.
*A deep understanding of web, print, CD and video production.
* Exceptional verbal communication skills and a professional presence.
* Ability to understand and translate technology offerings into compelling messages.
* Knowledge of software, collaboration applications and business-to-business issues.
* Excellent organization and time management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple, high-detail, deadline-sensitive projects.
* Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines with a high level of quality in all deliverables.
* High level of energy-an enthusiastic team player and dedication to excellence.
* Desire to work in a small team environment to ensure its success and the success of the company.
* BA of BS degree. Technical degree or MBA a plus.
* A positive, flexible attitude with a sense of humor.
